Job Description:
We are seeking a
Senior Mechanical Handling Engineer with 10+ years of experience to support
onshore and offshore oil & gas EPC projects. The role focuses on the
planning and design of equipment handling, lifting, and access strategies during installation, maintenance, and operations phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop mechanical handling and lifting studies for heavy and critical equipment (e.g., compressors, vessels, pumps).
- Plan equipment access, routing, and removal strategies during layout and 3D model reviews.
- Define maintenance handling requirements and coordinate with layout, structural, and construction teams.
- Prepare handling equipment specifications and interface with vendors and lifting specialists.
- Ensure compliance with HSE, project specifications, and international standards (e.g., LOLER, ASME, API).
- Support constructability and maintainability reviews across project phases.
- Provide technical input during site execution, lifting operations, and equipment installation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical handling/lifting engineering for EPC oil & gas projects.
- Strong understanding of handling equipment, lifting techniques, and access planning.
- Proficient in reviewing 3D models and layouts (e.g., SmartPlant, Navisworks).
- Excellent coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
