Role Overview
- Position: Engineering Professional Independent Contractor, Remote
- Commitment: Part-time 20 hours/week (potential to extend to 40 hours/week)
- Duration: 12 months
- Join an exciting collaboration with a top AI research lab. Contribute to developing and evaluating advanced AI systems replicating real-world workflows in engineering.
Responsibilities
- Create and assess complex problems in engineering across subdomains such as civil, mechanical, electrical, chemical, materials, and systems engineering.
- Evaluate AI-generated responses for conceptual accuracy, technical rigor, and domain relevance.
- Provide clear written feedback on engineering problem sets, designs, and solutions.
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and engineers to iterate and improve model performance.
- Ensure technical accuracy and academic precision in all engineering content used to train or evaluate AI systems.
Requirements / Qualifications
Must-Have Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
Engagement Details
- Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience ($65-$80 USD/hr)
- Contract Type: Independent contractor
- Schedule: Fully remote and asynchronous flexible working hours
- Payment: Daily payment via Stripe Connect
