Senior Mechanical Engineer

• Position: Senior Mechanical Engineer.
• Reports To: Senior Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to 3D department. Prepare high-quality 3D drawings.
• Estimate task duration, register tasks and time.
• Coordinate with project managers. Ensure documentation quality.
• Follow quality procedures and project gate model.
• Resolve NCRs. Perform assigned product responsibility tasks.
• Own and drive projects (end-to-end – concept to field support) and release product sub-systems (power and electrical box) and working closely with engineering teams in India and the Product Group in Europe.
• Proficient in concept design and development of Control panels/Electromechanical assemblies by following PDR process using any CAD package.
• Experience in Sheet metal, Enclosure design and manufacturing processes.
• Cooperate with cross functional engineering teams to resolve integration issues and support continuous improvement of SCADA workflows.
• Understanding the purpose of APQP4Wind and how the deliveries are tied together, which tools are required.
• Close cooperation with direct contacts like TPL, PM and other necessary stakeholder involved within the project to ensure on time and qualified deliverable. Also to be ensure that any technical changes/ deviation are communicated to TPL.
• Ensure before the projects starts, that all technical specification / project scope has been confirmed and agreed with the customer(TPL responsible for customer interaction), and defines the scope.
• Secure & review design and electrical component choices (Purchase specification) according to KK Group standards , electrical standards & as per customer requirement.
• Knows how to use the D-FMEA tool and how to evaluate and score a design.
• Prepare type testing specification & participate in external acceptance and type test to ensure the test meets the requirements. Also perform in-house type testing ( where applicable ) & prepare type test reports.
• Participate in FAI together with TPL when requested to ensure the customer expectations are fulfilled.

Required Competencies:

• SolidWorks, Creo, Siemens NX, Teamcenter, knowledge of KK products, production experience, ERP systems.
• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineer.

Professional Competencies:

• Experienced Mechanical Engineer (6 to 8 Years).
• Strong 2D/3D design capability and adherence to company procedures.
• Miscellaneous: Good English communication skills and willingness to travel for projects.
