Job Description

We are looking for Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Kent Data Centres - Mumbai

Key Responsibilities

Lead mechanical design activities for data centre and mission-critical facility projects.
Design and review HVAC systems, cooling solutions, and mechanical infrastructure for data centres.
Perform mechanical equipment sizing and technical evaluations.
Prepare and review DBR, BOQ, RFP documents, technical specifications, and tender packages.
Lead vendor evaluation, technical scoring, and bid evaluation for mechanical packages.
Review CFD studies and provide recommendations for airflow optimization and thermal efficiency.
Ensure designs comply with industry standards, client requirements, and data centre best practices.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Required Skills

Strong expertise in HVAC design for mission-critical facilities and data centres.
In-depth knowledge of data centre mechanical systems and equipment sizing.
Experience in vendor evaluation, technical scoring, and bid assessment.
Proven experience in preparation of DBR, BOQ, RFP, and tender documentation.
Strong understanding of bid evaluation processes for mechanical packages.
Knowledge of data centre standards and industry best practices.
Experience reviewing and interpreting CFD studies.
Strong stakeholder management and project coordination skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
8-12years of experience in mechanical design and engineering with significant exposure to Data Centre projects.
Experience working on large-scale mission-critical or hyperscale data centre projects is highly desirable.

Preferred Certifications
