As a Senior Master Data Management Developer at Medtronic's Global Diabetes Capability Center in Pune, you will be a key member of our Master Data Management team. You'll specialize in designing, implementing, and managing complex MDM solutions, focusing on our Informatica MDM platform. Leveraging your extensive technical expertise and deep understanding of integration technologies, you'll play a critical role in shaping our data integration strategy, ensuring data quality, accuracy, security, and consistency across the operating unit, and driving innovation within our data and analytics landscape.
A Day in the Life
You will drive MDM excellence and data integrity by:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining the Informatica MDM platform, ensuring data quality, accuracy, security, and consistency.
- Collaborating with source system owners, data stewards, and Data Governance personnel to resolve data-related or technical issues in batch and real-time data ingestion.
- Developing Informatica solutions (on-prem and SaaS), ensuring they meet technical specifications, quality standards, and best practices.
- Providing hands-on technical expertise for Informatica MDM and related integrations.
- Collaborating with Informatica and third-party partners to understand product roadmaps and influence enhancements, ensuring Medtronic's MDM architecture is future-proof.
- Overseeing the end-to-end implementation of complex MDM domain solutions, including data rules, data quality, and data transformation processes, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural standards.
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation, including architectural diagrams, design documents, and integration patterns, contributing to a knowledge repository for MDM best practices.
- Staying abreast of emerging technologies and integration trends, recommending innovative solutions to improve processes and system performance.
- Providing support for escalated production issues across MDM, ETL, Business Intelligence, and data applications.
- Continuously identifying and proposing tuning opportunities to increase efficiency and quality within MDM processes.
Required Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, or a minimum of 2 years with an advanced degree.
- Strong experience in Informatica MDM 10.x, IDQ, and Java for MDM user exits.
- Hands-on experience with Java to write, update code for defect fixes, and deploy EARs.
- Experience with REST APIs and SOA architecture for integrations.
- Proficiency in data modeling and technical designs, including API and batch/incremental/real-time integrations.
- Hands-on experience with Informatica MDM hub components: Landing tables, base objects, staging tables, lookup tables, relationships, mappings, cleanse functions, trust and matching rules, hierarchy management, E360 (provisioning).
- Hands-on experience in creating mappings, mapplets, sessions, workflows, and worklets in Informatica Data Quality (IDQ).
- Strong functional knowledge and experience mastering multiple data domains.
- Hands-on experience with relational databases and SQL.
- Superior technical knowledge in Data Quality, Standards, Governance, and Design.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with IICS (Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services) and/or Informatica PowerCenter or other ETL/BI technologies.
- Practical knowledge of project management.
