Senior Manager – Marketing (B2C – FMCG / Food Industry)

Purpose & Scope of the Role
This role will drive consumer-focused brand strategy, digital engagement, and mass-market campaigns to build a strong B2C brand presence for our client. The position will focus on customer acquisition, brand recall, and engagement across multiple consumer touchpoints, while ensuring measurable business growth.
The role demands deep expertise in FMCG or Food industry marketing, with a strong understanding of consumer behaviour, retail dynamics, and high-impact brand storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
1. Brand Strategy & Consumer Positioning
- Develop and execute a strong B2C brand strategy aligned with consumer insights and market trends.
- Build compelling brand narratives that resonate with mass and urban consumers.
- Drive brand differentiation in a competitive FMCG/food landscape.
- Monitor brand health, awareness, and customer perception metrics.
2. Integrated Marketing Campaigns (ATL / BTL / Digital)
- Plan and execute 360° marketing campaigns across TV, digital, social media, retail, and on-ground activations.
- Lead product launches, seasonal campaigns, and promotional initiatives targeted at end consumers.
- Drive consumer engagement, trial generation, and repeat behaviour through innovative campaigns.
- Work closely with creative and media agencies for impactful execution.
3. Digital & Social Media Marketing
- Develop and implement consumer-centric digital marketing strategies across social media platforms.
- Manage content marketing, influencer collaborations, and online brand campaigns.
- Build strong engagement with end customers and communities.
- Track performance metrics such as engagement, reach, conversion, and ROI.
4. Retail & Consumer Activation
- Lead in-store branding, retail visibility, and shopper marketing initiatives.
- Plan and execute on-ground activations, sampling campaigns, and promotions to drive product trials.
- Work closely with sales and distribution teams to ensure strong retail presence and execution.
- Strengthen brand experience at all physical consumer touchpoints.
5. Agency & Vendor Management
- Manage external agencies including creative, media, PR, and digital partners.
- Ensure campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with brand objectives.
- Track and evaluate vendor performance with defined KPIs.
6. Sales & Marketing Alignment
- Collaborate with sales teams to drive consumer demand and retail offtake.
- Support business growth through consumer promotions and demand-generation initiatives.
- Develop marketing inputs for new product development and GTM strategies.
7. Marketing Planning & Governance
- Develop an annual marketing calendar and campaign roadmap.
- Manage budgets effectively with a focus on ROI and business impact.
- Track campaign performance and present insights to leadership.
- Build data-driven marketing strategies leveraging consumer insights.
Experience & Qualification
- 5–8 years of experience strictly in B2C marketing. B2B Marketing experience is a plus.
- Mandatory background: FMCG / Food & Beverages industry
- MBA in Marketing or equivalent is a plus
