Honda Motor Co., Ltd., Japan is establishing a new Digital Innovation entity in India to accelerate growth through customer intelligence, digital platforms, connected experiences, and next-generation mobility solutions.

Headquartered in Bengaluru, this organization will combine Honda's global scale with India's technology ecosystem to build capabilities that directly influence product strategy, customer growth, and new business creation across India and other high-growth markets.

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Market Research Analyst located in Bengaluru, with flexibility for partial remote work. The candidate will conduct in-depth market research and analysis to identify trends, evaluate competitive landscapes, and inform strategic decisions. Responsibilities include gathering and interpreting data, creating detailed reports, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business development. The role requires a keen ability to synthesize complex information and present actionable insights.

This is a strategic build-out with leadership visibility and long-term significance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead market research projects using primary and secondary research methods
  • Analyze consumer needs, buying behavior, and emerging trends across India
  • Track competitors, product launches, pricing, and market shifts
  • Identify growth opportunities across customer segments and regions
  • Support decisions on product strategy, pricing, customer acquisition, and digital services
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Work closely with strategy, product, marketing, and cross-functional teams

Qualifications

Required

  • 8+ years of experience in Market Research, Consumer Insights, Strategy, or Consulting
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of Indian market dynamics and consumer behavior
  • Experience managing quantitative and qualitative research studies
  • Strong Analytical Skills with the ability to interpret and visualize data effectively
  • Strong written and verbal Communication skills to convey insights effectively
  • Ability to communicate clearly with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment

Preferred

  • Experience in fast-growth or new business environments
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, SPSS, SQL and Python
  • Familiarity with automotive or mobility sectors is advantageous
  • Master's degree in Business, Marketing or Economics
  • Japanese Language Proficiency is a plus, but not required
