Senior Manager - Warehouse

Job Description

To lead and strategically manage end-to-end warehouse operations for an API pharmaceutical manufacturing facility, ensuring seamless material flow, regulatory compliance (USFDA, EU, PMDA, etc.), inventory optimization, cost efficiency, and audit readiness, driving operational excellence and digital transformational, Manage and control Warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with cGMP, safety, regulatory, and quality standards while maintaining efficient inventory management and material flow.

Job Summary

Oversee and optimize all aspects of warehouse operations for PPL Pharma Inc., ensuring efficient storage, inventory management, and distribution of pharmaceutical products in compliance with industry regulations and company standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all warehouse staff, including hiring, training, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce warehouse policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency, safety, and compliance with GMP, GDP, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Manage inventory control processes, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and cycle counting, to maintain accurate stock levels and minimize discrepancies.
  • Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization to enhance workflow and storage capacity.
  • Oversee the maintenance and calibration of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, racking systems, and temperature-controlled units.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, production, quality assurance, and logistics teams to ensure seamless product flow and meet delivery schedules.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order fulfillment rates, inventory accuracy, and shipping costs, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage the warehouse budget, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Ensure all hazardous materials are handled and stored in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement within the warehouse, utilizing lean principles and best practices.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse performance to senior management.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits related to warehouse operations.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 10 - 12 years of progressive experience in warehouse.
  • In-depth knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Distribution Practices (GDP) for pharmaceutical products.
  • Proven experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles and practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Certification in Six Sigma, Lean, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
