Senior Manager - US Accounting

Sikich is seeking a SeniorManager with 12 to 15 years of accounting or audit experience. The ideal candidate must have experience in US GAAP general accounting, financial statement preparation or review/audit, and team management experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve department and organizational goals.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align strategies with overall business objectives.
• Provide strategic direction and leadership to the team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Address and resolve complex issues, providing solutions that align with business goals.
• Oversee resource allocation, project management and process improvements.
• Display excellent leadership skills and manage internal/external expectations.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, month end close and year end close processes, ensuring all financials are completed accurately on time.
• Manage multiple project deliverables and client engagements.
• Oversee and ensure quality standards of accounting transactions by the team.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
• Manage team performance metrics and responsible for team performance.
• Collaborate with US Leaders, providing consistent people and client updates.
• Work towards continual talent development through trainings and coaching.
• Conduct and review financials for fair representation of client financial statements.

Requirements for Successful Candidate

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and MBA in Finance or CA certification.
• Managed team(s) having at least 25+ team members.
• Prior experience in a Delivery Management role for a US based firm.
• Knowledge of US accounting systems.
• Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Organizational skills to manage a big team and strategic client engagements.
• Self-motivated with strong work ethic.
• Proactive approach to accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Possesses a combination of both problem-solving and innovation skills to attend to several technical production challenges.
