Senior Manager - Supply Chain
Location: WIRTGEN INDIA Pvt. Ltd., Dist Pune, 412214, Maharashtra, India
Basic Requirements:
- Educational Qualification: BE (Mechanical/ Industrial production) with CPM/ CPIM certification
- Age: 36 – 39 years
- Experience: 14-16 years
Purpose of the Job:Continual optimization of supply chain function for the purpose of ensuring uninterrupted material supplies with least cost of ownership.
Scope of Work & Accountabilities:
- Lead, motivate and develop high performing team of supply chain executives
- Exposure to Casting +machining + Fabrication process with hands on experience on capacity augmentation, capacity management & problem solving.
- Proficiency in statistical data analysis and dashboard maintenance and monitoring.
- Lead productive and quality improvement initiatives for supply chain transformation across various supply chain functions such as demand planning, material planning, inventory management and supply management.
- Effectively communicate and coordinate with both external and internal stakeholders
- Develop strategies/ alternate models to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Analyze the MRP parameters and make suitable improvements to optimize inventories
- Inventory forecasting/ periodic review and ensure the target Inventory turns are achieved without compromising delivery performance of suppliers
- Lead and implement the engineering changes ensuring minimum obsolescence
- Provide key inputs to business like inventory velocity/ Inventory obsolescence/ Supply chain costs/ strategic and tactical challenges and suggest possible solutions
- Ensure Optimal usage of ERP and other valuable hard and soft resources whilst ensuring strict adherence to rules and processes
- Develop supply chain metrics, measure performances, hold review meetings to drive continual improvements
- Ensure group guidelines of processes, compliances and code of conduct adherence within sourcing and supply chain team
Skills / Competencies required:
- Thorough knowledge of SAP MM Module and high proficiency in using other soft tools
- Understanding of basic manufacturing processes like steel fabrication/ casting/ machining
- Deep and thorough knowledge of supply chain concepts like cycle time/ lead time/ push and pull system/ JIT/ KAN-BAN
- Thorough knowledge in imports/ exports logistics including INCO terms, import and export procedures/ service providers and CHAs
