With expertise in both CAPEX and OPEX/IPP models, GH2 Solar delivers turnkey renewable energy projects and long-term energy solutions for commercial, industrial, and large-scale infrastructure clients. The organization is actively expanding its presence in green hydrogen, electrolyzer manufacturing, and asset-backed recurring revenue businesses aligned with India's clean energy transition.

Position Summary

Sr. Manager SCM shall be responsible for end-to-end strategic procurement, supply chain management, vendor development, logistics coordination, quality assurance supervision for the organization's Solar IPP, Solar EPC, Green Hydrogen, Green Ammonia, Green Methanol, and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. The role requires strong techno-commercial expertise in handling domestic and international procurement, vendor negotiations, quality surveillance, logistics management, project scheduling, risk mitigation, EHS compliance, and timely delivery of materials and services in line with project execution schedules.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Procurement & Supply Chain Management

  • Lead and manage complete procurement activities for Solar, Green Hydrogen, Green Ammonia, Green Methanol, and BESS projects.
  • Develop procurement strategies aligned with project schedules, budgets, and organizational objectives.
  • Ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, systems, consumables, and services as per project process flow and lead time requirements.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, QA/QC, Planning, Contracts, and Finance departments for procurement planning and execution.
  • Monitor procurement schedules to avoid project delays and cost escalations.

2. Vendor Development, Empanelment & Registration

  • Identify, evaluate, develop, and empanel qualified domestic and international vendors/OEMs.
  • Conduct vendor registration, due diligence, and KYC verification processes.
  • Maintain approved vendor lists and vendor performance records.
  • Evaluate vendor manufacturing capabilities, financial strength, technical competence, quality systems, and delivery performance.
  • Develop alternate vendor sources to reduce supply chain risks and improve competitiveness.

3. Commercial Negotiations & Rate Contracts

  • Negotiate techno-commercial terms with vendors and OEMs to achieve the best commercial advantage for the organization.
  • Prepare and finalize:

-Rate Contracts (RC)

-Framework Agreements

-Purchase Orders (PO)

-Service Contracts

-TPIA/TPIEA Contracts

  • Analyze market trends, commodity pricing, and industry benchmarks for price justification and procurement optimization.
  • Ensure procurement at competitive prices without compromising quality and technical specifications.
  • Finalize payment terms, delivery schedules, warranty obligations, LD clauses, penalties, and contractual risk mitigation provisions.

4. Contractual & Legal Compliance

  • Draft and review procurement contracts, inspection contracts, logistics contracts, and TPIA/TPIEA agreements.
  • Ensure incorporation of:

-Liquidated Damages (LD)

-Delay penalties

-Defect liabilities

-Warranty obligations

-Freight terms

-Transit risk provisions

-Insurance clauses

-Rejection and replacement clauses

-Futile visit/inspection charges in case of vendor delays or denial of inspection access

  • Coordinate with legal and finance teams for contractual compliance and dispute resolution.

5. Quality Assurance & Inspection Management

  • Supervise quality assurance activities through internal QA/QC teams, Assistant Managers – SCM, site quality personnel, and Third Party Inspection Agencies (TPIA/TPIEA).
  • Ensure stage-wise quality assurance and quality control during manufacturing, dispatch, installation, and commissioning stages.
  • Review and analyze

-Quality test reports

-Material Test Certificates (MTC)

-Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) reports

-Type test reports

-Calibration certificates

-Inspection reports

  • Ensure compliance with applicable IS, IEC, ASTM, IEEE, ISO, ASME, API, and project-specific standards.
  • Monitor inspection schedules and ensure timely closure of NCRs and quality observations.

6. Logistics, Transportation & Insurance Management

  • Oversee domestic and international logistics planning and execution.
  • Ensure timely and damage-free delivery of materials to project sites.
  • Coordinate transportation, customs clearance, freight forwarding, warehousing, and inventory management activities.
  • Ensure comprehensive transit and material insurance coverage for all shipments.
  • Monitor freight optimization and logistics cost control.
  • Coordinate replacement and claims management for damaged or defective materials.

7. Project Coordination & Scheduling

  • Align procurement activities with project execution schedules and construction priorities.
  • Monitor long lead items and critical equipment procurement.
  • Coordinate with planning and execution teams for material availability at site.
  • Ensure proper material tracking, expediting, and dispatch monitoring.
  • Participate in project review meetings and provide procurement status updates.
  • SCM Tracking, MIS & Digital Control System.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical / Civil / Chemical / Industrial preferred)

MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Procurement, or equivalent shall be preferred

Technical & Functional Skills:

  • Strong understanding of renewable energy project materials and equipment.
