Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Manager - Stores to lead and optimize our store operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Mechanical or Electronics Engineering (BE/B.Tech) or a Diploma in Mechanical/Electronics and have a proven track record in inventory management and supply chain optimization. As a senior leader, you will oversee store operations, lead a team, and drive process improvements to ensure seamless coordination between departments and support the organizationu2019s production and sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement strategies for efficient store operations and inventory management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Set performance benchmarks and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Inventory and Stock Management
- Plan, monitor, and control inventory levels to avoid shortages, overstocking, or obsolescence.
- Oversee inventory accuracy using ERP systems and ensure regular stock audits are conducted.
- Material Handling and Inspection
- Supervise the receipt and inspection of incoming materials, ensuring they meet quality standards.
- Establish and enforce procedures for material handling and storage to ensure safety and quality.
- Team Management and Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of store staff to achieve operational excellence.
- Delegate responsibilities effectively and foster a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
- Interdepartmental Coordination
- Collaborate with production, procurement, and quality assurance teams to ensure the timely availability of materials and components.
- Facilitate communication with other departments to address inventory-related concerns.
- Vendor and Supplier Management
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of materials.
- Resolve issues related to discrepancies in quality or quantity and negotiate favorable terms.
- Compliance and Audits
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations in all store operations.
- Lead and manage the annual physical inventory audit and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, stock movements, and operational activities.
- Generate detailed reports for senior management on inventory performance and operational efficiency.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and ERP systems.
- Proficient in MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong understanding of electronics and mechanical components, as well as bin system management.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
