Job Title: Senior Manager Software Engineering - Digital Services.

Job overview/Purpose of the Position:

We are looking to hire an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing software engineering team responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining secure, cloud-native enterprise applications.

The ideal candidate will combine strong people leadership, engineering management, technical expertise, stakeholder management, and delivery ownership to ensure the successful execution of product roadmaps while fostering a culture of innovation, quality, security, and continuous improvement.

This role will manage a team of approximately 15 software engineers across backend, frontend, and full-stack disciplines, delivering scalable cloud-based solutions built on a microservices architecture using .NET Core, React, and Python.

The successful candidate is expected to drive the adoption of AI-assisted software development practices and modern engineering methodologies to improve productivity, quality, and delivery speed.

Area of responsibilities:

Engineering Leadership & Team Management:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of approximately 15 software engineers.
• Establish a high-performance engineering culture focused on accountability, collaboration, innovation, quality, and security.
• Conduct performance reviews, career development discussions, coaching, and succession planning activities.
• Support hiring, onboarding, retention, and capability development of engineering talent.
• Foster employee engagement and create an inclusive work environment that encourages ownership and technical excellence.
• Drive adoption of engineering best practices, coding standards, secure development practices, and quality-focused development approaches.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Communication should be clear, regular, and relevant, ensuring stakeholders are consistently informed and aligned.

Delivery Management:

• Own end-to-end delivery of assigned software products and platform capabilities.
• Collaborate with Product Groups, Core Technology Platform, Architects, DevOps, Cybersecurity teams, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into execution plans.
• Manage sprint planning, estimation, prioritization, capacity planning, and release management activities.
• Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, budget, and quality expectations.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate technical, delivery, security, and resource risks.
• Track and report key delivery metrics, team performances.

Competencies (e.g. technical skills):

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BE/BTech) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline.
• 15+ years of hands-on experience developing scalable solutions using .NET for backend development and modern frontend frameworks.
• 3+ years of experience leading software engineering teams.
• Proven experience managing teams of 10–20 engineers.
• Experience delivering cloud-based enterprise software products.
• Hands-on experience designing and developing secure software solutions.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions and mentor junior developers.
• Experience working with geographically distributed and multicultural engineering teams.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development processes, tools, and workflows.

Technical Skills:

• Strong experience with C#, .NET Core, microservices, and REST APIs.
• Experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frontend development.
• Working knowledge of Python.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted software development tools and modern engineering workflows.
