Job Description
Experience: 12+ years in software engineering, with 5+ years managing engineering teams (including
managing managers or tech leads)
Education: Bachelor's or Master's in CS, Engineering, or related field
Technical Capabilities
Strong foundation in Java, Python, or TypeScript/JavaScript — able to review architecture, challenge
designs, and make sound strategic trade-offs
Experience building and operating systems in regulated financial environments (wealth management,
asset management, banking, or brokerage platforms)
Drives cloud infrastructure strategy (AWS preferred), CI/CD maturity, and production reliability across
teams
Deep understanding of data security, compliance requirements (SOC 2, SOX, GDPR), and audit
expectations in financial services
Champions AI/ML adoption across the engineering organization and measures its impact on velocity and
quality
People Management
Proven track record of hiring, developing, and retaining strong engineering talent at all levels
Experience managing teams of 10-25 engineers across multiple squads or workstreams
Skilled at performance management — sets clear expectations, gives direct feedback, manages out
underperformers, and develops high-potential engineers into leads
Builds psychological safety across teams while maintaining high standards for delivery and code quality
Develops M3 managers and tech leads — coaches them on hiring, performance management, and team
dynamics
