Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Governance & Executive Remuneration Specialist
with 8-10 years of experience in corporate governance research, executive remuneration
evaluation, and investor-focused stewardship. The ideal candidate will bring advanced
analytical ability, strong project leadership, and exceptional client-facing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead comprehensive governance research covering board effectiveness, committee
structures, shareholder rights, leadership oversight, and governance risks.
Conduct sophisticated evaluations of executive remuneration frameworks, incentive design,
performance metrics, and pay-for-performance alignment.
Support team with governance insights relevant to portfolio risk, engagement priorities, and
voting recommendations.
Review and interpret complex disclosures such as annual reports, AGM materials,
remuneration reports, ESG filings to identify gaps, risks, and best practices.
Develop and enhance analytical tools, scoring models, templates, and methodology
documents for improved research efficiency.
Produce concise, high-quality reports, commentary documents, benchmarking studies, and
thematic insights for internal and external stakeholders.
Mentor and guide team members, review outputs, and support capability-building across the
governance and ESG function.
Lead client-facing discussions, present analytical insights, and manage ongoing client
communication, clarifications, and expectations.
Oversee large, multi-stream research projects ensuring quality control, timely outputs, and
smooth coordination across teams.
Required Qualifications:
8-10 years of experience in corporate governance, executive remuneration analysis,
stewardship, or investment research.
Strong understanding of corporate governance regulations.
Demonstrated ability to manage high-complexity projects and multi-layered stakeholder
workflows.
Proven experience in client engagement, client delivery, and handling senior external
counterparts.
Prior experience in a proxy advisory firm, asset manager, or governance advisory team
preferred.
Strong analytical ability with comfort handling large data sets and complex disclosures.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple concurrent priorities.
