About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager SEO who combines deep expertise in technical, on-page and off-page SEO with hands-on experience in AI-driven SEO practices, including generation, optimisation, automation, and predictive analytics. This role will lead our SEO strategy, manage cross-functional initiatives, and drive scalable organic growth using both traditional and next-gen AI tools.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Leadership
- Develop and own the end-to-end SEO strategy to drive sustainable organic growth across all web properties.
- Lead a team of SEO specialists, content strategists and external partners; ensure continuous upskilling (especially around AI SEO).
- Collaborate with product, tech, content, design, and analytics teams to align SEO initiatives with business goals.
Technical SEO
- Conduct detailed technical audits and implement enhancements around site architecture, crawlability, indexing, core web vitals, sitemaps, and schema markup.
- Work closely with engineering teams to resolve technical SEO issues and deploy scalable improvements.
- Oversee regular SEO hygiene including log file analysis, URL optimisation, redirects, and canonicalisation.
Content Optimisation & AI SEO
- Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Jasper, Surfer, NeuronWriter, etc.) to:
- Generate keyword clusters
- Create SEO content briefs
- Scale content optimisation
- Develop topic maps and semantic models
- Implement AI-powered internal linking, SERP feature optimisation, and entity-based content strategies.
Analytics & Performance
- Own end-to-end reporting using GA4, Google Search Console, Looker/Data Studio, and other analytics platforms.
- Monitor traffic, rankings, crawl stats, and conversions; identify root causes behind fluctuations.
- Run A/B tests and evaluate impact of SEO initiatives using data-driven experimentation frameworks.
- Use AI-driven predictive tools to forecast traffic and identify emerging keyword opportunities.
Off-Page & Authority Building
- Oversee high-quality link-building partnerships, content syndication and digital PR initiatives.
- Use AI-assisted tools for prospecting, outreach automation and tracking domain authority improvements.
AI & Automation Initiatives
- Evaluate and implement AI-based SEO automation tools for auditing, content optimisation, competitive research, and reporting.
- Build workflows that integrate AI into SEO processes without compromising quality or compliance.
- Stay updated on search algorithm changes, SGE (Search Generative Experience), and advancements in AI-assisted search.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 69 years of SEO experience with proven results in driving organic growth.
- At least 12 years of hands-on experience using AI-driven SEO tools or workflows.
- Strong understanding of search algorithms, ranking factors, SGE, semantic search, and content structures.
- Expertise in technical SEO tools: Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, GSC, GA4, DeepCrawl, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate data into strategy.
- Experience managing SEO teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
