Senior Manager - Selection & Assortment Strategy

Role Overview

We are hiring a Senior Manager for Selection & Assortment Strategy at Zepto. This role owns large, cross-functional charters focused on building a competitive, high-quality assortment across cities and clusters. You will shape what customers see on the app and drive disciplined execution at scale. The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of experience in program management, category strategy, supply chain, or analytics-driven business roles, with a strong track record of owning complex initiatives and delivering outcomes in fast-paced environments.

Key Responsibilities

● Selection Governance:

Own end-to-end assortment governance across categories and cities, ensuring optimal breadth, depth, and quality.

● Program Execution: Drive large-scale programs including assortment optimization, portfolio clean-ups, and new product launches.

● Cross-Functional Execution: Partner with category, supply, planning, analytics, and operations teams to deliver outcomes.

● Performance & Insights: Track selection health and performance using structured metrics; convert insights into action.

● Problem Solving: Identify systemic gaps impacting customer experience and resolve them through data-backed interventions.

● Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze data to identify top-performers. Provide actionable business insights to drive sales growth and category expansion.

● Stakeholder Ownership: Act as the single-threaded owner for key selection initiatives and drive closure.

What We're Looking For

● Strong ownership and experience running complex, multi-team programs.

● Comfort working with data and driving execution from insights.

● Clear communication and strong stakeholder management.

● Interest in quick commerce, consumer behavior, and assortment strategy.

● Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity environment.

● Proficiency in SQL is mandatory.
