- Site Security Operations & Governance
- Own the site security risk assessment; implement layered controls for perimeter, gates, yards, warehouses, high-value rooms, control rooms, and substations.
- Run daily security operations (24x7)muster/briefing, deployment, patrolling, post orders, incident logs, daily reports.
- Ensure effective access control (employees, contractors, visitors) and material movement control (inward/outward, gate-pass, returnable/non-returnable).
- Oversee electronic security systems: CCTV, VMS, ACS, boom barriers, turnstiles, intrusion alarms, ANPR, command centeruptime, health checks, audits, and analytics review.
- Implement key management, badge management, and segregation-of-duties for critical zones.
- Establish and enforce Security SOPs, Post Orders, Emergency Response Plans, and Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery linkages with plant operations and EHS.
- Lead and optimize a blended model of in-house & outsourced guard force (supervisors, guards, QRT, dog squad as applicable).
- Define SLAs/ KPIs, conduct monthly vendor reviews, manage rosters, overtime, training, and discipline.
- Drive cost optimization without compromising risk posture; support RFPs, commercial evaluations, and AMC renewals for security systems.
- Lead incident response (theft, pilferage, sabotage, workplace violence, protest/flash-mob, utility disruptions, cyber-physical convergence issues).
- Conduct root-cause investigations with documented evidence handling; run corrective & preventive action (CAPA).
- Implement cargo/yard/warehouse security, seal integrity, weighbridge checks, and truck route monitoring to minimize shrinkage and fraud.
- Maintain case registers, dashboards, and management reporting.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industrial security, SEZ/port regulations, PASARA (for private security agencies), factory premises norms, and contractor compliance.
- Prepare for and lead internal/external audits; close findings on time.
- Liaise with local police, district administration, SEZ authorities, fire services, and disaster management agencies; maintain positive relationships.
- Maintain and test Emergency Response Plans for fire, flood/cyclone, chemical spill, power failure, social unrest, and medical emergencies; conduct mock drills with EHS.
- Run table-top exercises for leadership; ensure mass notification readiness and command center SOPs.
- Support executive protection and VIP movements on-site when required.
- Build a security-first culture through toolbox talks, induction, targeted awareness campaigns (tailgate security, badge discipline, photography restrictions, reporting suspicious activity).
- Coach the team on ethics, integrity, and respectful, lawful conduct with all stakeholders including contract labor.
- Leverage CCTV analytics, heatmaps, people/vehicle counting, and exception dashboards; track leading indicators.
- Partner with IT/OT/InfoSec for cyber-physical convergence: camera network segmentation, hardening of NVRs/servers, and access logs integrity.
- Maintain asset inventory and configuration baselines for security tech.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (Security Management, Criminology, Engineering, or related). Master's preferred.
- 1218 years in security for large-scale manufacturing/industrial/port/SEZ environments; multi-plant campus experience preferred.
