Role Overview
The Senior Manager SAP will lead strategic SAP initiatives across the organization, ensuring seamless integration, modernization, and optimization of SAP systems including S/4HANA, IBP, and associated modules. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and business acumen to drive digital transformation, compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Own and drive SAP roadmap including version upgrades, landscape modernization, and module adoption (e.g., IBP, Quality, Plant Maintenance)
- Lead vendor evaluations and RFP processes for SAP projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and cost efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align SAP capabilities with organizational strategy and compliance needs (e.g., ITGC, SOD, audit)
Project & Delivery Management
- Oversee SAP implementation and enhancement projects including DR drills, automation initiatives (ATP, COPA, POSM), and new plant configurations
- Manage internal and external teams for timely delivery of SAP solutions, ensuring adherence to SLAs and quality benchmarks.
- Monitor and report on project milestones, risks, and performance metrics.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure SAP systems meet security, audit, and regulatory standards through proactive controls and remediation (e.g., SAP.CTRL.006, SAP.CTRL.025)
- Lead user access reviews, SOD conflict resolution, and role redesign initiatives in collaboration with audit and compliance teams
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a key liaison between IT, Finance, SCM, Audit, and external partners.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum BE/B Tech
- 10+ years of experience in SAP project management, including S/4HANA and ECC environments.
- Proven track record in leading SAP transformation initiatives across multiple modules (FICO, IBP, SD, MM, PM).
- Strong understanding of SAP architecture, integration, and security frameworks.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SAP Treasury, MDG, BTP, and VIM.
- Familiarity with audit frameworks and ITGC controls.
- Vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
Working Conditions
- Based in Bangalore
- May require extended hours during critical project phases.
