Role Description The Senior Manager – Research & Development will lead end-to-end R&D initiatives that advance Sugar.fit's diabetes reversal solutions and clinical protocols. This full-time, on-site role in Bengaluru involves designing and overseeing clinical and product research, collaborating with cross-functional teams (medical, product, data, and operations), and translating findings into scalable programs and features. The person in this role will manage R&D roadmaps, ensure scientific rigor, drive regulatory and ethical compliance, and maintain documentation and reporting for internal and external stakeholders. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising research staff, coordinating multi-center studies, analyzing data, preparing publications or presentations, and aligning R&D outcomes with business and patient-impact goals. The Senior Manager will also mentor team members, foster innovation, and build partnerships with academic and industry collaborators.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Research and Development (R&D) and applied Research in healthcare, life sciences, or related fields.
• Demonstrated Team Management and Team Leadership capabilities, including mentoring, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency in Project Management, including planning, execution, monitoring, and delivering research projects on time and within scope.
• Advanced analytical skills, familiarity with clinical study design, statistics, and evidence-based protocol development.
• Relevant postgraduate degree (e.g., M.Sc., M.Tech, MPH, MD, PhD) in biomedical sciences, public health, clinical research, or a related discipline.
• Experience in metabolic health, endocrinology, or chronic disease management is highly beneficial.
• Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly to clinical, product, and business teams.
• Proven track record of publications, clinical trials, or translational research projects is an advantage.
