The Project Lead – QA/QC – Site is responsible for leading the quality function for the entire project, encompassing civil, structural, MEP, and finishing works. The role ensures robust implementation of quality plans, adherence to specifications, timely inspections, testing protocols, and compliance with regulatory, client, and organizational standards. The role also involves mentoring quality teams and interfacing with execution, client, and consultant representatives.
Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities
- Develop and implement the project-specific quality assurance and control plan, in alignment with corporate quality policies, contract specifications, and ISO 9001 guidelines.
- Lead and manage the entire QA/QC team at the project site, allocating responsibilities, reviewing inspection reports, and ensuring effective coordination across construction disciplines.
- Oversee stage-wise inspections and approvals, including reinforcement checks, shuttering, concrete pouring, blockwork, plastering, tiling, painting, structural steel erection, and MEP installations.
- Ensure timely inspection and testing of incoming materials, verifying test certificates, managing sampling procedures, and coordinating with third-party labs for compliance verification.
- Identify and address non-conformances proactively, by initiating NCRs, conducting root cause analysis (RCA), and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
