Job Title: Global Mobility Senior Manager
Department: Human Resources
Location: Chennai
Reports To: Associate Director
The Global Mobility Senior Manager is responsible to oversees end‑to‑end mobility operations including international assignments, employee relocations, immigration, compliance and vendor management. The Senior Manager partners with business leaders and HR teams worldwide to support talent movement, ensure compliance, and deliver a seamless employee experience
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the full lifecycle of international assignments and relocationsExtensive hands-on experience managing global work permits and visas, including:- End to end work permit processing across multiple regions (U.S, Canada, EMEA, APAC, LATAM).
- Business visa management, including evaluating eligibility, risk mitigation, compliance checks, and coordination with travel/immigration partners.
- Strong understanding of sponsor licence compliance, including sponsor duties, CoS issuance, record‑keeping, and reporting obligations to the Home Office.
- Deep understanding of short term and long term mobility visa categories and host country legal obligations.
- Proven experience managing Employer of Record (EoR) models:
- Partnering with global EoR vendors for onboarding, benefits, payroll, and compliance.
- Establishing governance, cost controls, and employee service standards under EoR arrangements.
- U.S. in house immigration experience, including:
- End to end management of H 1B, L 1, Green card
- Strong understanding of USCIS, DOL, and CBP regulatory frameworks.
- Experience developing and implementing global mobility policies, SoPs, guidelines etc
- New country due diligence and support
- Work closely with HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Legal, Finance teams and vendors.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise on mobility trends, market benchmarks, and best practices.
- Monitor service performance, SLAs, costs, and employee experience outcomes.
- Prepare mobility dashboards
- Serve as an escalation point for mobility-related issues.
- Provide guidance on cultural transition, onboarding, and host-country requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor/Master's degree in HR, Business, International Relations, or related field
- 10-12+ years of progressive experience in Global Mobility, Immigration, or International HR management.
- Strong knowledge of global immigration, tax regulations, and mobility policies.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with senior leadership and manage complex global programs.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
