Responsibilities
- Lead full end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, including requisition-to-PO conversion, supplier selection, RFQ/RFP issuance and evaluation, and contract finalization.
- Expertise in negotiating and closing Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) costs, Manufacturing Value Add (MVA) pricing, repair/rework terms, and process change revisions.
- Proven ability to validate technical and cost requirements in collaboration with manufacturing, industrial engineering, and quality teams.
- Onboard, develop, and manage global Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) and Contract Manufacturers (CM) partners, including multi-location capacity ramp-up and performance alignment.
- Build and execute multi-sourcing strategies to mitigate single-source risks, track committed capacities, and drive supplier output improvements through regular follow-ups, site visits, and joint planning
- Negotiate extended payment terms, volume-based pricing, and cost structures to achieve targeted soft/hard savings through MVA optimizations, NRE closures, and process efficiencies.
- Benchmark supplier proposals and performance against industry standards; identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
- Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including supplier disruptions, capacity constraints, geopolitical factors, and material shortages.
- Ensure ESG compliance, vendor audits, regulatory adherence (telecom-specific standards), and ethical sourcing practices.
- Develop contingency plans, track recovery actions for critical items, and maintain business continuity through diversified sourcing and performance monitoring.
- Mastery-level communication skills for preparing and presenting stakeholder updates, daily reports, and cross-team coordination.
- Expert teamwork and collaboration to drive collective ownership, motivate teams during crises, and foster positive working relationships with internal and external partners.
- Strong management and leadership skills for ethical decision-making, team mentoring, performance guidance, and maintaining a proactive, solution-oriented attitude under pressure.
- In-depth background in telecom hardware supply chains (e.g., radios, baseband units, optical network terminals, cables, enclosures, and related mechanical/electronic components).
- Experience managing partners and sourcing in emerging and global markets, including Asia-Pacific, China, India, and EMEA regions.
- Familiarity with consigned/turnkey manufacturing models, repair/rework services, and high-volume telecom project execution.
- Conduct Periodic Suppliers Audits and supplier performance rating along with the quality team
- Initiate and drive the quality system requirements (ISO9000/TL9000/ ISO14001/OHSAS 18000) for suppliers and maintain the records for Internal and external audits by customers / ISO certification auditors,
Qualifications
- Experience : 15 to 20 years in Electronics and/or Telecom
- Education : BE Electronics & telecommunications or Equivalent
