The Role
Senior Manager (Policy & Innovation)
As a Senior Manager in the Policy and Innovation Team, you will support the development and implementation of AI-Ready SG – NTUC's initiative to drive AI adoption among workers. Reporting to the Assistant Director (Policy and Innovation), you will be responsible for developing new policy ideas, monitoring the progress of AI-Ready SG initiatives, and working with internal and external stakeholders to advance NTUC's vision of an AI-ready workforce. This role requires a proactive individual with strong policy analysis, research, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Research and develop policy proposals to promote AI adoption and readiness among workers across different industries and skill levels.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of AI-Ready SG initiatives, tracking key milestones and outcomes against targets.
- Conduct environmental scanning on global and regional AI trends, workforce transformation best practices, and emerging skills frameworks to inform policy direction.
- Engage with government agencies, training providers, and industry partners to coordinate AI upskilling programmes and initiatives for workers.
- Prepare policy papers, reports, and presentation materials for internal reviews and external stakeholder engagements.
- Collaborate with the Planning team and other units within the Job Security Directorate to ensure AI-Ready SG efforts are aligned with broader workforce development strategies
- Support the organisation of outreach events, workshops, and forums to raise awareness of AI opportunities and resources available to workers.
- Assist the Assistant Director in driving the department's outcomes, including other department priorities related to job security.
Job Requirements
- Good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- At least 8 years of experience in policy development, programme design, or stakeholder engagement.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Passion for workforce development and social impact.
