Job Description

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end project management for thermal power plant projects, encompassing feasibility studies, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover. - Develop and implement comprehensive project plans that balance technical requirements, cost controls, resource allocation, and risk management. - Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, construction, quality assurance, safety, and regulatory compliance to ensure project milestones are achieved. - Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including government agencies, contractors, suppliers, and internal business units to facilitate smooth project progress. - Drive the preparation and monitoring of project budgets, timelines, and schedules ensuring timely reporting and documentation in line with corporate governance standards. - Champion the application of Adani's safety protocols and environmental policies to uphold the highest standards of occupational health, safety, and sustainability. - Utilize advanced project management tools and methodologies to optimize resource utilization and project delivery efficiency. - Conduct regular project reviews and audits to identify bottlenecks, foresee potential risks, and implement corrective measures proactively. - Mentor and develop project management teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning aligned with Adani's organizational values. - Lead contract negotiations, manage vendor performance, and oversee procurement strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality compliance. - Ensure compliance with all applicable statutory, legal, and environmental regulations relevant to thermal power projects in India. - Provide strategic input to senior leadership on project status, challenges, and opportunities, facilitating informed decision-making. - Promote adoption of technological advancements and best practices in thermal project execution to enhance efficiency and reduce environmental footprint. - Drive initiatives aimed at community engagement and social responsibility within project locales to reinforce Adani's commitment to inclusive growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or related discipline is mandatory. - Master's Degree or MBA in Project Management or relevant field preferred.
