Job Description

Job Purpose-

The incumbent will be responsible for developing and strengthening corporate relationships to facilitate student placements and internships. The role involves engaging with organizations, understanding their talent requirements, onboarding new recruiters, promoting the institute and its students, and ensuring effective execution of corporate engagement and placement activities.

The role will also contribute to strengthening the institute's corporate network, enhancing student

employability, identifying industry trends, and supporting strategic initiatives related to placements and corporate relations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Corporate Relations & Recruiter Acquisition

Develop and maintain strategic relationships with HR leaders, Talent Acquisition Heads, business

leaders, and senior industry professionals across sectors.

Identify, approach, and onboard new organizations for summer internships and final placements.

Build a strong pipeline of prospective recruiters and corporate partners.

Strengthen relationships with existing recruiters to encourage repeat hiring and long-term

engagement.

Understand organizational talent requirements and align suitable student profiles with relevant

opportunities.

Represent the institute at corporate meetings, industry forums, HR conferences, professional events, and networking platforms.

Promote the institute's academic programmes, student talent, and value proposition to prospective corporate partners.

2. Summer Internship Program (SIP)

Drive corporate outreach and engagement to secure quality Summer Internship opportunities for

students across relevant industries and functional areas.

Develop and maintain a pipeline of organizations offering internship opportunities.

Understand internship requirements, roles, eligibility criteria, timelines, and selection processes of prospective organizations.

Coordinate with corporates for internship recruitment processes, including pre-placement/internship talks, assessments, interviews, and selections.

Map student profiles and competencies with suitable internship opportunities based on organizational requirements.

Ensure timely communication and coordination between corporate partners, students, faculty

coordinators, and internal stakeholders throughout the SIP process.

Monitor the progress of internship recruitment and support timely closure of internship opportunities.

Maintain an updated database of internship organizations, contacts, opportunities, and student

selections.

Strengthen the quality and diversity of the institute's internship partner network through continuous corporate outreach.

Gather industry feedback on student performance and internship experiences to identify

opportunities for improvement.

3. Final Placements-

Develop and execute corporate outreach strategies to generate quality final placement opportunities.

Identify organizations and sectors with relevant hiring potential for students.

Coordinate campus recruitment processes, including pre-placement talks, assessments, interviews,

and selection activities.

Ensure smooth execution of recruitment activities through effective coordination with recruiters,

students, faculty placement coordinators, and internal stakeholders.

Maintain regular communication and follow-up with recruiters throughout the recruitment cycle.

Develop long-term relationships with organizations to facilitate recurring campus hiring.

Monitor the placement pipeline and provide timely updates to relevant stakeholders.

4. Placement & Internship Strategy-

Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies for Summer Internships and Final

Placements in alignment with institutional objectives.

Identify and implement effective placement and internship engagement models based on industry

practices.

Track industry hiring trends, emerging job roles, skill requirements, and recruitment practices.

Identify new industries, sectors, organizations, and business segments for potential internship and placement opportunities.

Provide relevant market intelligence to support corporate relations and placement strategy.

Develop short- and long-term plans to strengthen the institute's corporate network and opportunity pipeline.

5. Student Employability & Industry Connect-

Work closely with the Head of Placements, Corporate Office, faculty placement coordinators, and

student placement representatives to strengthen student employability.

Provide industry inputs on emerging skills, job roles, and employer expectations.

Facilitate corporate interactions, industry sessions, networking opportunities, and other initiatives

that enhance students corporate exposure.

Support initiatives that align student capabilities with evolving industry requirements.

Use recruiter and industry feedback to identify areas for strengthening student preparedness for

internships and placements.

6. Institutional Branding & Corporate Engagement-

Represent the institute professionally during corporate interactions and industry engagements.

Strengthen the institute's visibility and positioning among corporate and professional communities.

Participate in industry conferences, HR forums, networking events, and other relevant platforms.

Develop meaningful and sustained industry partnerships beyond recruitment, wherever relevant.

Explore opportunities for cross-campus collaboration and synergies in corporate relations,

internships, and placements.

7. Stakeholder Management-

Collaborate with senior leadership and internal stakeholders to achieve corporate relations, SIP, and placement objectives.

Manage multiple corporate relationships, internship processes, and recruitment activities

simultaneously.

Maintain appropriate records and reports relating to corporate engagement, internships, placements, and recruiter activities.

Candidate Profile

Strong understanding of corporate relations, Tie-Up, campus recruitment, summer internship

programs, and placement processes.

Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with senior HR and business stakeholders.

Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Proactive and result-oriented approach with the ability to independently manage multiple corporate

relationships.

Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, senior leadership, and corporate stakeholders.

Willingness to undertake extensive travel for corporate outreach, meetings, industry events,

internships, and placement activities.

Qualification & Experience

Postgraduate degree in Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred.

8–10 years of relevant experience in Corporate Relations, Placements, Campus Recruitment, Talent

Acquisition, Business Development, or related areas.

Experience in managing Summer Internship Programs and/or campus placement processes will

be preferred.

Experience in an educational institution, management institute, recruitment organization, or

corporate Talent Acquisition function will be an advantage.

Prior experience in corporate relationship management and acquiring organizations for internships and campus hiring will be preferred.
