Senior Manager Pattern Maker

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Manager – Pattern & Methods to lead pattern and casting development, foundry and moulding processes, pattern maintenance, methoding, supplier quality, and process improvement. The role will be responsible for team leadership, customer complaint resolution, quality assurance, and achieving departmental objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage foundry and moulding processes, including machine moulding and hand moulding.
• Oversee foundry pattern and core box development, maintenance, and improvement.
• Handle pattern and casting development, drawing study, and layout marking.
• Apply methoding knowledge for SG Iron castings, preferably SGI 500/7 grade.
• Ensure effective pattern maintenance and process improvements.
• Coordinate customer visits, investigate product non-conformities, and implement root cause analysis and CAPA.
• Conduct supplier quality audits and evaluate new and existing suppliers.
• Drive supplier development, quality improvement, and vendor upgradation.
• Support the development of new vendors for existing supplies and new products.
• Prepare and review quality and system documentation and conduct internal audits.
• Identify and arrange training for machining suppliers.
• Support IMS objectives, targets, and quality management initiatives.
• Lead the Pattern Shop team, set individual goals, monitor performance, and develop subordinate capabilities.
• Handle customer audits and ensure effective closure of audit observations.

Educational Qualification

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME).Experience

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of foundry and moulding processes.
• Knowledge of foundry patterns, core boxes, and pattern maintenance.
• Understanding of SG Iron metallurgy and SGI 500/7 grade methoding.
• Drawing interpretation and layout marking.
• Basic proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and 3D design software.
• Knowledge of SAP and quality management systems.
• Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and supplier management skills.
• Knowledge of the pipe industry is preferred.
