Summary
Cooldeck is looking for an experienced manufacturing professional to support the operational leadership of our Daman plant.
The Senior Manager Manufacturing Operations will work closely with the Plant Head to strengthen day-to-day management of production, maintenance, and quality functions. The role is intended to build a strong middle-management layer within the plant by bringing structure, accountability, and coordination across engineering and supervisory teams.
This position is less about designing strategy and more about ensuring that plant operations run reliably, teams are properly supported, and operational issues are resolved in a structured and timely manner.
The successful candidate will help translate plant priorities into actionable tasks for the engineering and supervisory teams while ensuring consistent follow-through.
Key Responsibilities
1. Production Coordination & Execution
Support the Plant Head in managing day-to-day production activities across manufacturing lines.
Ensure that production plans are translated into clear daily and weekly execution plans for shop-floor teams.
Work closely with supervisors and engineers to address operational bottlenecks and maintain production flow.
Monitor production performance and highlight operational issues requiring escalation.
2. Maintenance Coordination
Oversee the maintenance team to ensure timely preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment.
Ensure that recurring breakdowns are investigated and corrective actions are implemented.
Coordinate with production teams to plan maintenance work with minimal disruption to operations.
3. Quality Coordination
Work with the quality team to ensure consistent adherence to quality standards and inspection processes.
Support root cause analysis for quality issues and ensure that corrective actions are implemented effectively on the shop floor.
Ensure that quality concerns raised by customers or internal teams are addressed promptly.
4. Shop Floor Team Management
Provide managerial guidance to engineers and supervisors across production, maintenance, and quality functions.
Ensure clear allocation of responsibilities and accountability within teams.
Support development of supervisory and engineering talent through structured delegation and coaching.
5. Operational Problem Solving
Act as the first point of coordination for operational issues arising within the plant.
Ensure cross-functional coordination between production, maintenance, quality, and planning teams.
Support the Plant Head in resolving operational challenges and improving plant efficiency.
6. Process Discipline and Continuous Improvement
Introduce basic operational discipline in areas such as:
Identify opportunities to improve plant efficiency, reduce rework, and improve equipment reliability.
Desired Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should bring strong shop-floor experience along with the ability to manage teams and operational coordination.
Key attributes include:
Prior experience in plastics, FRP, fabrication, or industrial manufacturing will be advantageous.
