Kings Food Tech, the dairy and frozen foods arm of Kings Global, is a fast-growing FMCG business with a strong presence across dairy, ice creams, frozen desserts, and consumer food products. The business is expanding aggressively across retail, general trade, modern trade, and quick commerce channels in India.
We are looking for a dynamic and commercially driven Senior Manager – Modern Trade to lead and expand our presence across key modern trade and organized retail chains.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end Modern Trade business operations for Kings Food Tech across regional and national retail chains.
- Manage relationships with key accounts including supermarkets, hypermarkets, premium retail chains, and organized retail partners.
- Drive listing, visibility, promotions, and shelf placement for products across categories including dairy, ice cream, frozen desserts, and FMCG products.
- Develop and execute annual business plans, joint business plans (JBPs), promotional calendars, and sales growth strategies.
- Negotiate commercial agreements, margins, visibility spends, schemes, and annual contracts with retail partners.
- Monitor primary and secondary sales performance and ensure achievement of monthly and annual revenue targets.
- Work closely with supply chain, marketing, merchandising, and operations teams to ensure stock availability and execution excellence.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, consumer behavior, and category performance to identify growth opportunities.
- Lead and mentor the Modern Trade sales team, merchandisers, and channel executives.
- Ensure strong execution across visibility, branding, planograms, and in-store activations.
- Manage trade spends, profitability, receivables, and commercial compliance efficiently.
- Explore opportunities in quick commerce and emerging retail formats.
Desired Candidate Profile
- 7–12 years of experience in Modern Trade sales within FMCG, dairy or Ice cream.
- Strong relationships with major retail chains and key decision-makers.
- Proven experience in handling national/regional modern trade accounts.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and business planning skills.
- Experience in frozen foods, dairy, or ice cream categories will be an added advantage.
- Ability to manage high-growth and fast-paced business environments.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Educational Qualification
- MBA / PGDM in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management preferred.
- Graduation in any discipline mandatory.
