Job Description

Position Name: Senior Manager/Manager-Human Resources

SGT University is in search of a seasoned professional to work as a Senior Manager/Manager-HR for its campus near Delhi. The University (a Health Science University), in its campus spread over 70 acres near Gurgaon, offers courses in Health Sciences, such as Medicine, Dental Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, and also in Agricultural Sciences, Engineering, Hotel Management, Business Management, Arts and Science. It nurtures more than ten thousand students and . It is a part of a group that spans fields in education, hospitality, and employs over two thousand people. The campus offers excellent support facilities such as shopping, medical facilities, entertainment and transportation. The campus is located less than 5 km from the Delhi border of Daurala and offers convenient access to Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Partners with various departments to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, head hunting, retention, and succession planning
  • Provides support and guidance to the team, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and exit
  • Manages the talent acquisition, which may include recruitment, arranging interviews and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial and non-teaching professional roles; collaborates with department heads and management to understand skills and competencies required for openings
  • Analyses trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent
  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
  • Maintains compliance with state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the HR-Head and Senior Functionaries of the University

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems

Expected Candidature:

Applicant must have Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or similar field and must have experience of minimum 10-15 years. He/she should demonstrable corporate experience with human resources metrics and knowledge of HR systems and databases must also have ability to develop and manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization.
