Job Summary:
SAEL Industries is seeking an experienced Structural Design Engineer for the position of Manager / Senior Manager Structural Design. The ideal candidate will have 11-20 years of experience in the design and engineering of industrial projects, including manufacturing facilities, renewable energy plants, power projects, oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical, green hydrogen, green ammonia, and large-scale infrastructure developments.
The candidate will be responsible for leading structural design activities, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the analysis and design of RCC, Structural Steel, and Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) structures for industrial projects.
- Design and review foundations including isolated footings, combined footings, raft foundations, pile foundations, machine foundations, and equipment foundations.
- Design industrial structures such as pipe racks, process structures, equipment support structures, platforms, warehouses, control buildings, substations, and utility buildings.
- Review structural calculations, design reports, technical specifications, and engineering deliverables.
- Ensure structural designs comply with relevant Indian and International Codes and Standards (IS, AISC, ASCE, ACI, Eurocodes, etc.).
- Perform design checks for wind loads, seismic loads, crane loads, equipment loads, blast loads, and other project-specific loading conditions.
- Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, Architectural, and Project Management teams.
- Lead design reviews, value engineering studies, and optimization initiatives to improve project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers, designers, and drafting teams.
- Review vendor drawings and ensure integration of equipment requirements into structural designs.
- Support site execution teams by resolving technical queries and providing engineering solutions during construction.
- Monitor project schedules and ensure timely delivery of engineering outputs.
Required Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise in RCC, Structural Steel, and PEB Design.
- Hands-on experience in industrial and manufacturing plant structures.
- Proficiency in STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, Tekla Structures, and AutoCAD.
- Sound knowledge of foundation engineering and structural analysis.
- Familiarity with engineering standards, design methodologies, and construction practices.
- Experience in reviewing and approving engineering deliverables.
