Role Summary
This role is responsible for overall maintenance of Extrusion lines and Injection Molding which includes Preventive maintenance, Breakdown handling, Spare parts management, Capex and Opex budgeting. He/She also responsible for people management for the dept including team building, progressive culture and implementation of best practices.
Roles And Responsibility
- Responsible for day-to-day Mechanical & Electrical maintenance activities, equipment availability and R&M cost.
- Ensure robust systems for Preventive maintenance are put in place at unit and monitor compliance to preventive maintenance systems.
- Monitor breakdowns at plant, lead team for RCA & implementation of CAPA, take action to resolve chronic breakdown areas.
- Resolve chronic engineering issues in unit to improve equipment availability & reliability.
- Implement system for asset management and identification and build-up of critical spares.
- Implement guidelines for engineering improvement and implement system to monitor engineering health across the plant through an objective scorecard system.
- Support implementation of Capital Projects by managing site execution of these projects.
- Identification of skill gaps & training needs of engineering teams at unit.
- Keeping track of statutory & regulatory compliances related to engineering.
- To identify and develop vendors and contractors to provide quality service at competitive market rates.
- Analyze and work towards the improvement of energy efficiency.
- Implementation of best industrial practices in the plant to improve safety, quality, efficiency and productivity.
Requirement
- Any BE/BTech as education Qualification
- 15 to 18 years of experience into overall maintenance especially on extrusion lines and injection moulding.
