Job Description:
Will act as Technical Lead for MES and Digitalization applications developed for ARACT plants
Will understand the requirements & work closely with Vendor, Operations teams, IT team to review, validate, govern, and ensure quality implementation of MES applications, integrations, and industrial digitalization solutions.
Will be responsible for technical governance, architecture review, code review, standards compliance, deployment validation, and ensuring vendor deliverables meet business and technical expectations.
Position Overview:Technical Lead & Solution Reviewer for MES and Industrial Digitalization applications developed on Ignition Platform for Gigafactory operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- .Solution design, DB modelling.
- .Techno functional consultant to guide team.
- .Review application developments performed by vendor, technical reviews.
- .Support requirement gathering & guide developers on the functionalities.
- .Validate application architecture, database design, coding standards, and overall solution design.
- .Ensure vendor-developed applications comply with defined business requirements, technical standards, and scalability expectations.
- .Review and validate Ignition modules, Perspective screens, Vision clients, gateway scripting, tag structures, alarms, and reports.
- .Perform code reviews for Python/Jython scripts, .Net, C#, SQL queries, APIs, and integrations developed by vendors.
- .Review integrations with ERP, SCADA, PLCs, Historian, LIMS, AGV, Energy Management, and other manufacturing systems.
- .Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, FAT/SAT activities, and deployment planning.
- .Validate MES functionalities including production tracking, traceability, genealogy, material movement, recipe management, OEE, and reporting.
- .Conduct technical audits and ensure maintainability, performance optimization, and application reliability.
- .Review vendor documentation including FDS, DDS, architecture diagrams, test cases, deployment documents, and SOPs.
- .Support testing activities including SIT, UAT, and performance validation.
- .Coordinate with Operations, Process Engineering, Automation, and IT Infrastructure teams during implementation.
- .Identify technical risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities in vendor-delivered solutions.
- .Ensure proper version control, backup strategy, deployment governance, and change management processes.
- Support ongoing enhancements, troubleshooting, and technical issue resolution for MES applications.
Qualifications:
- .8-12 Years of experience in Industrial Automation and Manufacturing IT systems.
- .Minimum 4-6 years of hands-on experience in application development using platforms like .Net, Java.
- .Strong experience in Solution designing, Database modelling, integrations.
- .Strong experience in Ignition Platform development and architecture review.
- .Experience in manufacturing digitalization projects in process or discrete industries.
- Exposure to Gigafactory / Lithium-ion battery manufacturing is preferred.
