Job Description

Key Responsibilities / Skills:

• Demonstrate strong self-motivation and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
• Draft, review, and support prosecution of patent applications in the biologics/biopharma domain, including claims, specifications, responses, and technical arguments.
• Conduct patentability search, freedom-to-operate, invalidity, and landscape analyses for India, the United States, Europe, and other key jurisdictions.
• Work closely with R&D and technical teams to identify inventions, understand and interpret scientific/experimental data.
• Analyse prior art, office actions, claim scope, prosecution history, and IP risks to support effective patent filing and prosecution strategies and office action responses.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external counsel for patent filings, office action responses, timelines, and portfolio management.
  
  

Experience

QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of relevant experience in intellectual property, preferably in biologics, biosimilars, or biopharmaceuticals.

Qualification: M.Tech or Master's degree in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry, Bioprocess Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.

Registered Patent Agent qualification will be an added advantage
