About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned and forward-thinking HR professional to join our Human Resources team as Senior Manager - HR Strategy & Organisational Excellence. This is a strategic, centre-of-excellence role.
The incumbent will own the full spectrum of HR functions beyond day-to-day HR Business Partnering - including employee engagement, learning & development, employer branding, skills mapping, HR analytics, and people strategy. This is a high-impact role for someone who combines strong strategic thinking with hands-on execution ability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Employee Engagement & Culture
- Design and execute the annual employee engagement strategy, including pulse surveys, engagement calendars, and action planning frameworks.
- Champion a high-performance, inclusive workplace culture aligned with organisational values.
- Lead initiatives around recognition, rewards philosophy, and employee well-being programmes.
- Drive DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) roadmaps and culture-building interventions.
- Manage the Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and ensure it is consistently communicated internally.
2. Learning & Development
- Develop and own the organisation-wide Learning & Development (L&D) strategy, including training needs analysis (TNA) and annual learning plans.
- Partner with business leaders to design functional, behavioural, and leadership development programmes.
- Manage the LMS (Learning Management System) and build a culture of continuous learning.
- Track L&D ROI through assessments, performance linkages, and post-training effectiveness metrics.
- Oversee onboarding frameworks to ensure a strong new-hire assimilation experience.
3. HR Strategy & People Analytics
- Develop and execute the annual HR Strategy aligned to the business plan, including workforce planning and capability roadmaps.
- Build and maintain an HR Dashboard with key metrics: attrition rate, offer-to-join ratio, engagement scores, L&D coverage, time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and more.
- Provide actionable HR insights to the Director – HR and leadership through data-driven storytelling.
- Lead benchmarking exercises on compensation, benefits, and HR practices.
- Drive HR transformation and process excellence projects using technology and automation.
4. Skills Mapping & Talent Development
- Build and maintain a comprehensive Skills Inventory across the organisation, identifying current capabilities and future skill gaps.
- Develop competency frameworks and career progression matrices for all functions.
- Work with business heads to create Individual Development Plans (IDPs) linked to succession pipelines.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition on role profiling and future-skills hiring strategy.
- Drive high-potential identification and accelerated development programmes (HIPO tracks).
5. Employer Branding
- Own and execute the employer branding strategy across campuses, digital platforms (LinkedIn, Glassdoor, etc.), and industry forums.
- Collaborate with Marketing/Communications to create compelling employer brand content and campaigns.
- Monitor and enhance the organisation's reputation as an employer of choice.
- Lead campus engagement programmes, employer rankings submissions (Great Place to Work, etc.), and HR Awards participation.
- Track candidate experience metrics and continuously improve the brand perception externally.
Skills & Qualifications
Must Have
- MBA / PGDM in HR or equivalent from a recognised institution.
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 4-5 years in a strategic or centre-of-excellence HR role.
- Proven experience in L&D, engagement, HR analytics, and employer branding.
- Experience working independently or with minimal oversight in a mature HR environment.
- Prior exposure to managing an HRBP or HR COE function is preferred.
