Job Description

Role Overview

  • This role is fully responsible for bringing, managing, and retaining manpower for the spinning mill. The person should be strong in Man mobilizing and retaining workers.
  • Should be strong in handling the supervisors, unions (if any), and compliance, while maintaining discipline, safety, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manpower Mobilization****

  • Arrange continuous supply of workers (helpers, doffers, ring frame operators, technicians, etc.)
  • Handle bulk hiring from local areas and other states (if required)
  • Coordinate with contractors / labour suppliers
  • Ensure shift-wise manpower availability (no shortage during production)
  • Reduce absenteeism and attrition on the shop floor
  • Maintain a backup workforce plan during peak demand

2. Shop Floor HR Handling***

  • Daily rounds in departments like Blow Room, Carding, Drawing, Simplex, Ring Frame, Autoconer
  • Monitor attendance, discipline, and behaviour of workers
  • Handle grievances immediately (wages, supervisor issues, shift problems)
  • Work closely with production team to avoid manpower-related stoppages

3. Employee Relations (ER) Practical Level

5. Statutory Compliance

6. Administration & Worker Welfare (Very Important in Textile Units)

Key Skills Required:

  • Experience in manpower sourcing from villages / other states
  • Good at handling pressure and worker issues anytime
  • Mass Hiring & Labour Management
  • Worker Handling & Discipline Control
  • IR Case Handling (real-time situations)
  • Labour Law Practical Knowledge
  • Conflict Resolution
