Designation: Senior Manager - GSC Finance - Global Service Centre
Base Location: Navi Mumbai
Reporting to: DGM - GSC Finance
Role Purpose:The Sr. Manager will lead end-to-end Finance & Accounting operations for the US/CA region with a strong focus on General Ledger. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing month-end close, maintaining compliance, and driving process excellence across AR, AP, and GL functions.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
1. General Ledger (Primary Focus):
Lead and manage end-to-end GL activities including journal entries, accruals, and provisions
Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
Review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure proper substantiation
Ensure compliance with accounting standards (US GAAP/IFRS)
Drive standardization and automation in GL processes
2. Financial Reporting & Close Management:
Oversee preparation and review of financial statements and reports
Analyze variances and provide insights to management
Ensure timelines are met for all reporting deliverables
Coordinate with auditors and support audit requirements
3. AR & AP Oversight:
Provide strategic oversight to AR (billing, collections, cash application) and AP (invoice processing, payments)
Ensure SLA adherence, process efficiency, and strong internal controls
Review key metrics like DSO, aging, and payment cycles
4. Compliance & Controls:
Ensure adherence to internal controls, SOX requirements, and company policies
Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks
Drive governance and control framework across processes
5. Team Leadership & People Management:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team across AR/AP/GL functions
Set performance goals and monitor team productivity
Build a high-performance and accountable team culture
6. Stakeholder Management:
Act as a key point of contact for US/CA business stakeholders
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (FP&A, Tax, Audit, Operations)
Handle escalations and provide timely resolution
7. Process Improvement & Transformation:
Drive continuous improvement and transformation initiatives
Implement automation (RPA, ERP enhancements, dashboards)
Improve efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround time
Shift Requirement:
Mandatory willingness to work in US Night Shift
Education Qualifications & Experience:
CA / CPA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent
10-15 years of experience in Finance & Accounting
Strong exposure to GL and close processes
Experience handling US/CA clients preferred
Preferred Experience:
Experience in shared services / GBS environment
Exposure to automation tools and AR dashboards
Ensure adherence to SLA and reporting timelines
Coordinate with business and customers (US/CA region)
Drive continuous improvement initiatives

Quality of balance sheet reconciliations
Audit observations and compliance adherence
