The Opportunity:

The Senior Growth Lifecycle Marketer is responsible for leading the lifecycle engagement strategy for ApplyBoard globally. This person will lead the formation of an agile growth team to drive the development and execution of the strategy for ApplyBoard key customer segments - Students and Partners - across all markets and all channels.

What you will be doing every day:

  • Developing Lifecycle Strategy: Create and execute an always on program strategy with clear metrics, to activate, engage, upsell and retain our customers.
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Identify areas for improvement and optimize conversion rates, promotional costs, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Agile Campaign Planning and Execution: Planning, developing and launching, and managing multi-channel campaigns, including hypothesis led experimentation roadmap, learning agenda and agile workflow.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilizing data analytics tools to track key performance metrics, generate reports, prioritize experiments and provide insights on the effectiveness of campaigns.
  • Thought leadership: Continuously exploring and testing new concepts, tools, channels, tactics, and technologies to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Budget Management: Managing the lifecycle promotional marketing budget effectively, allocating resources across different channels based on performance and strategic priorities.
  • X-functional Partnership: Work closely with internal teams, vendors and agency representatives to develop, execute and optimize program outcomes.

Ideally, you also have experience with some of :


  • A passion for EdTech
  • 7+ years of experience, leading lifecycle, email, CRM and/or engagement marketing programs in a multi-channel program. B2B + B2C experience a bonus.
  • Experience at high-growth startups and/or email marketing agencies
  • Strong, hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms to be able to own reporting and iteration on existing workflows
  • Exceptional copywriting skills and an eye for great design
  • Knowledge of CRM & other email systems, attribution models, and lead scoring
  • Strong analytical background with an exceptional ability to draw key insights from both quantitative and qualitative data
  • Experience owning a numerical goal and driving experiments & campaigns to achieve that goal
  • Entrepreneurial style with high agility, initiative and creativity
