About the role:
We are seeking a senior technical leader to build and scale enterprise‑grade Generative AI and automation capabilities. In this role, you will lead the design, delivery, and evolution of AI systems that improve efficiency, resolution, and customer outcomes across high‑volume digital and operational environments.
You will operate at the intersection of machine learning, generative AI, and platform engineering, translating advanced AI techniques into reliable, production‑ready systems with clear business impact.

Your Impact:
Build and lead high‑performing teams
- Lead, mentor, and develop senior engineers and scientists across machine learning, AI, and analytics
- Establish clear technical standards, architecture principles, and development practices
- Foster a culture of accountability, experimentation, and continuous improvement
Design and scale AI systems
- Design and implement multi‑agent and LLM‑driven architectures for conversational and decision‑support systems
- Build evaluation, monitoring, and safety mechanisms to ensure reliability, quality, and responsible AI usage
- Develop reusable AI components, platforms, and shared services that support multiple products and workflows
Deliver business impact
- Define and execute AI initiatives aligned to operational and customer performance metrics
- Build and operate production‑grade pipelines, models, and AI‑enabled workflows
- Apply AI to automate processes, improve resolution rates, and enable faster, better‑informed decisions
Partner and influence
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business leaders to solve high‑impact problems
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to senior technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Continuously measure outcomes, iterate solutions, and raise the quality bar across AI delivery
Ideal Background:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in machine learning, data science, or applied AI
- 5+ years of experience leading senior technical teams
- Demonstrated experience deploying LLM‑based or multi‑agent systems into production
- Strong analytical, architectural, and problem‑solving capabilities
Technical expertise
- Deep experience in Generative AI and applied machine learning
- Hands‑on experience with:
- Conversational AI systems (text and voice)
- Multi‑agent architectures and orchestration patterns
- LLM frameworks (e.g. LangChain, LlamaIndex or equivalent)
- Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Evaluation, observability, and guardrails for AI systems
- Prompt engineering and optimisation
- Strong foundations in machine learning, statistics, and feature engineering
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Databricks)
Leadership and delivery
- Proven experience leading senior technical teams and complex AI initiatives
- Strong stakeholder management and executive‑level communication skills
- Track record of delivering high‑impact systems in fast‑moving environments
Domain experience
- Experience working in regulated or high‑trust industries
- Familiarity with AI systems that influence customer behaviour, decision‑making, or operational workflows
