We are seeking a highly skilled GCP Architect to design, develop, and manage scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will lead cloud architecture initiatives, guide engineering teams, and ensure best practices in cloud design, cost optimization, security, and automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures on GCP.
- Architect solutions using core GCP services such as but not limited to;
- Compute Engine
- Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
- Cloud Run
- Cloud Functions
- Big Query
- Cloud Storage
- Pub/Sub
- Vertex.AI
- Lead cloud migration strategies from on-premises or other cloud platforms to GCP.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
- Ensure security, compliance, and governance standards across cloud environments.
- Optimize cloud costs, performance, and reliability.
- Collaborate with development, data, security, and operations teams.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architecture guidance to L2/L3 teams.
- Conduct architecture reviews and enforce cloud best practices.
- Design solutions using Generative AI capabilities on GCP, including large language models and AI APIs.
- Ensure responsible AI practices, data governance, and model security.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
- Experience with serverless architecture, containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/GKE).
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
- Hands-on experience with host/service-based networking architecture, VPCs, load balancing, IAM, and security in GCP.
- Experience building highly available and fault-tolerant systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
- Familiarity with DevOps and SRE practices.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Cloud Monitoring and Cloud Logging.
- Understanding of Generative AI architectures and LLM integrations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 7–12+ years of overall IT experience, with 6+ years in cloud architecture.
- Hands-on experience designing enterprise-grade cloud solutions.
Certifications (Preferred)
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
- Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer
