Job Description:
Position: Senior Manager Data Engineering (Google Cloud Platform)
Experience: 19-26 Years
Location: Hyderabad
- Experience:
- 13-18 years in data engineering, cloud data solutions, or enterprise data management.
- Minimum 35 years of experience delivering large-scale data integration or analytics projects in GCP.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise with GCP services BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Cloud Composer.
- Solid background in data modeling (dimensional, normalized, canonical).
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and modern ETL/ELT frameworks (batch & streaming).
- Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow/Cloud Composer.
- Understanding of data governance, security, quality, and metadata management.
- Leadership & Delivery:
- Experience leading data engineering teams in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders and ensure timely delivery.
- Nice to Have:
- Exposure to Retail, Media, or Consumer Products industry data environments.
- Knowledge of MDM solutions, data stewardship principles, and basic ML/AI concepts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of GCP-based data pipelines and analytics platforms.
- Manage a team of data engineers and collaborate with architects, analysts, and business stakeholders.
- Oversee data modeling, ETL/ELT process optimization, and implementation of data governance practices.
- Ensure high standards of data security, compliance, and performance.
- Stay updated on emerging GCP features, tools, and best practices.
