Role Overview

As Senior Manager – FP&A, you will be a key member of ZEISS's finance team, with functional responsibility to support ZEISS Group Finance in Germany. Based in Bangalore, you will manage financial planning, controlling, and reporting processes for global corporate and service functions. This role requires a high level of analytical depth, cross-border collaboration, and leadership in driving financial excellence, transparency, and transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Finance Partnering
  • Act as a finance partner to ZEISS Group corporate and service functions (e.g., IT, HR, Legal, Communications), supporting leadership teams in Germany with financial insights and decision support.
  • FP&A and Controlling Leadership
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and actuals reporting for assigned global functions. Ensure robust cost management, service allocation, compliance with Group Finance policies, and alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Cross-Border Finance Collaboration
  • Serve as the primary liaison between local and central Finance teams in the context of steering assigned global functions. Ensure seamless delivery of financial analysis, reports, and insights that enable HQ to make informed strategic decisions.
  • Financial Analysis & Advisory
  • Provide advanced financial analysis, scenario modeling, and actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders. Translate financial outcomes into business implications and partner with functional heads to drive performance improvements.
  • Reporting & Process Transformation
  • Lead initiatives to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy using SAP, advanced BI tools (Power BI), and modern data platforms. Champion automation, standardization, and transparency in financial processes across geographies.
  • Project & Change Leadership
  • Drive global finance transformation projects such as cost transparency frameworks, service allocation methodologies, and modernization of financial reporting standards. Lead cross-functional initiatives that strengthen Group Finance capabilities.

Profile Requirements

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related discipline.
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in FP&A/Controlling roles within multinational organizations; exposure to global/corporate finance teams preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead complex financial processes across multiple geographies and time zones.
  • Strong leadership presence, influencing skills, and ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders in Germany and India.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, SAP, and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau). Knowledge of modern data architectures is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills with a structured and proactive approach.
  • Fluent in English (business/negotiation level); experience working in an international, matrix organization is an advantage.
