About The Role
We are looking for an experienced and driven Senior Manager Fleet to build, scale, and manage our 2W and 3W delivery fleet network through a mix of vendor partnerships and gig workforce models. This role is pivotal in ensuring all-time rider availability, cost efficiency, fast geographical scale-up, and seamless delivery operations for our B2B quick commerce business.
The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in fleet operations, vendor management, incentive design, and on-ground execution, with a proven ability to deliver performance across multiple cities.
Key Responsibilities
- Fleet Setup & Network Expansion
- Design and establish the fleet operating model leveraging vendors, agencies, and gig partners for 2W and 3W fleets.
- Rapidly scale fleet availability in existing and new geographies in line with business growth targets.
- Build a strong vendor base ensuring competitive rates, quality of riders, and service reliability.
- Own the end-to-end vendor lifecycle selection, onboarding, performance management, and renewal.
- Cost, Incentive & Rate Card Management
- Develop and implement cost-effective payout structures, incentive schemes, and rate cards to optimize delivery costs while ensuring rider motivation.
- Benchmark and analyze market trends to keep the company's fleet rates competitive.
- Monitor payout accuracy and drive improvements in operational efficiency and rider productivity.
- Rider Management & Engagement
- Ensure adequate rider supply at all times through active vendor and gig ecosystem management.
- Build and manage rider grievance mechanisms ensuring timely resolution of issues related to payouts, schedules, and policies.
- Create programs to improve rider satisfaction, retention, and performance.
- Operations Excellence
- Drive adherence to delivery SLAs on-time delivery, right item delivered, and compliance with service standards.
- Collaborate closely with city operations, planning, and product teams to optimize fleet utilization and turnaround time.
- Implement SOPs and performance dashboards to monitor key operational metrics.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven insights.
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all riders meet necessary compliance, documentation, and safety standards (DL, RC, insurance, etc.).
- Partner with vendors to ensure zero tolerance for fraudulent or unsafe behavior.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree (MBA or equivalent preferred).
- 712 years of experience in fleet operations, logistics, or supply chain roles in Q-commerce, last-mile delivery, e-commerce, or mobility startups.
- Proven experience in vendor-based and gig fleet management across multiple cities.
- Strong understanding of cost control, payout systems, and incentive structures.
- Hands-on experience with on-ground operations and team management.
