What you'll do

• Responsible for compiling and interpreting financial information and support for the corporate accounting department and implementing internal controls and compliance initiatives
• Maintains General Ledger for local Financial Reporting Requirements
• Performs month-close activities for local GAAP including review of Journal entries and Reconciliations
• Adheres to local reporting deadlines and policies
• Engage with cross-functional teams and external consultants/auditors towards managing local audits, compliances
• Stay current on evolving Accounting Standards pronouncements and updates under prevailing regulatory bodies & Income tax and incorporating into current Company policy as necessary
• Adopt a critical thinking approach, anticipate technological developments and communicate to leadership teams.
• With minimal guidance, identifies and acts on opportunities to improve own team and cross-functional productivity.
• Communicates complex accounting/ tax and regulatory implications, effectively to diverse audiences, using appropriate media and language.
• Evaluates and applies industry best practices around accounting and reporting standards. Teaches others about accounting, tax sections and reporting standards
• Effective implementation all the corporate accounting policies

Experience you'll need

• Degree in Accountancy, with CA qualification and 10-15 yrs of working experience in an Accounting Organization in the Industry
• Experience in end-to-end legal entity level accounts finalization/Statutory Reporting process for both India and International entities. (IFRS and IND AS knowledge).
• Proven technical knowledge in IND AS, IFRS and inter-company accounting
• Experience in process gap analysis, transition and delivery management
• Excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
• Very good work organization, initiative and commitment
• Awareness of business trends & familiarity with financial accounting statements
• Proficiency with accounting software and experience with a software system preferably experience in NetSuite, Blackline and Floqast
• Strong foundation in accounting, finance as well as direct and indirect tax
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Highly adaptive, Quick learner, Mature, proactive, resourceful and hands-on with intuition to lead initiatives.
