Job Responsibilities
- Process Walkthroughs & RedesignLead end-to-end walkthroughs of ESG reporting processes (with focus on GHG emissions) to document current state, identify gaps, and validate data lineage from source to disclosure. Design future-state workflows to enhance efficiency, standardization, and data quality, including clear handoffs, review checkpoints, and audit-ready evidence requirements. Drive governance adoption across stakeholders.
- Change Management & AI EnablementDevelop and execute change management plans for redesigned processes, including stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and transition support. Identify and implement targeted AI/automation opportunities (e.g., anomaly detection, automated validations) to enhance quality and reduce manual effort, supported by strong governance, documentation, and controls.
- Risk Management & ControlsOwn the end-to-end risk and control framework, including risk assessments, control design, and monitoring effectiveness. Establish management review controls, reconciliations, and evidence standards aligned to audit and assurance needs. Partner with Internal Audit and compliance teams to support testing, remediation, and continuous improvement.
- Platform Integration (Watershed & Workiva)Collaborate with Technology to integrate ESG data, calculations, and controls into platforms, including defining requirements, data mappings, and workflows. Support UAT, cutover, and postimplementation governance to ensure integrity and continuity.
- GHG Emissions ReportingSupport Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions calculations, including methodologies, assumptions, and emission factors. Maintain end-to-end documentation and traceability to ensure timely, audit-ready reporting.
Education, Technical Skills & Other Critical Requirement
Education:
Bachelor's or Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or Information Systems.
Experience :
(In Years)
8-10 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting or ESG reporting.
Technical Skills:
- Demonstrated experience designing or remediating complex data and control processes.
- Experience addressing data quality challenges and estimation techniques in regulatory or reporting contexts; familiarity with GHG emissions reporting (Scope 1, 2, and 3) is a plus.
- Proven ability to influence cross‑functional process redesign efforts and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Experience in preparing documentation and evidence to support internal and external audit or assurance.
