We are seeking a talented individual to join our Finance team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Gurgaon. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Senior Manager
Financial Planning & Analysis (Grade E)
What can you expect:
The Senior Manager Financial Planning & Analysis collaborates with the FP&A team providing trusted financial reporting. By creating, tracking and analyzing budgets, forecasts and financial results, they develop performance insights that contribute to critical business decision making and strategic plans. The role will become an expert in all FP&A reporting systems and will be expected to help with standardization and automation of reporting and looking for enhancement opportunities.
We will count on you for:
Financial Expertise
- Analyze basic financial data and quantitative analyses, in order to support sound and defensible recommendations.
- Review and conduct analysis of financial planning information and reports and make recommendations for changes to management.
- Conduct basic audit activities in order to comply with requirements.
- Maintain best practices policies to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
- Communicate with management on a consistent basis, to ensure sound fiscal management.
- Assist in the month end close process by preparing recurring/standard and ad hoc reports, Journals, researching general ledger activities and variances to budget and prior year.
- Assist in the development of budgets and quarterly forecasts; tracks and reports initiatives.
- Prepare financial planning information and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Improve financial planning job knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.
- Drive for knowledge and understanding on the key business drivers behind the initiatives
What you need to have:
- Chartered Accountant / MBA Finance with 8-12 years of relevant experience in FP&A domain.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage manage and influence team members and senior stakeholders.
- Ability to build relationships with business leaders and influence and advice key decisions.
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of comfort with data and financial systems.
- Attention to detail
- Show initiative and contribute to a continuous improvement environment.
- Proficient in MS Office, Advanced Excel and PowerPoint
- Highly proficient in data analysis and data extraction and manipulation
- Active team player with the ability to work across geographies.
- Be open for new challenges and willing to undertake additional responsibilities.
