Senior Manager, Finance (Technical Accounting & US GAAP)

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Consolidation

• Oversee preparation and finalization of financial statements, including notes to accounts for multiple subsidiaries.
• Manage multi-currency consolidation in compliance with US GAAP.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Assist in external reporting and statutory disclosure requirements.

Month-End Close & Accounting Operations

• Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of balance sheet schedules and reconciliations.
• Manage accounting operations for global entities under India Controller guidance.
• Drive accuracy in account-level financial reporting and operational accounting.

Technical Accounting & US GAAP Compliance

• Lead technical accounting activities, including drafting accounting memos and policy documentation.
• Evaluate and implement new US GAAP standards and regulatory updates.
• Provide accounting guidance on complex transactions and revenue recognition (software/technology accounting preferred).
• Ensure adherence to accounting policies and internal control frameworks.

Audit Management & SOX Compliance

• Lead annual audits for US and foreign entities in coordination with Big 4 audit firms.
• Manage integrated audit processes including planning, interim testing, and quarter-end deliverables.
• Ensure timely resolution of audit queries and support clean audit closures.
• Support SOX compliance and internal control assessments (preferred exposure).

Process Improvement & Systems Enhancement

• Drive improvements in financial reporting processes and accounting operations.
• Implement enhancements to financial systems for efficiency and scalability.
• Support deployment and optimization of ERP systems (NetSuite experience preferred).
• Standardize financial reporting processes across global entities.

Stakeholder Management & Leadership

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely flow of financial data and documentation.
• Partner with senior leadership to provide insights on accounting and financial performance.
• Mentor and manage a team of finance professionals.
• Ensure strong communication with auditors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.

Budgeting & Financial Planning

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Assist in evaluation of OPEX and CAPEX treatments in technology finance.
• Provide analytical insights to support strategic financial decisions.
