Job Description

NoPo Nanotechnologies is an Indian deep-tech company specializing in the synthesis and commercial supply of Single-Walled Carbon Nano tubes (SWCNTs). The company serves research institutions, defense organizations, and industrial customers across India and international markets, and is focused on building a structured, process-driven, and scalable business.

Role Overview

NoPo Nanotechnologies is seeking a seasoned and hands-on Senior Manager Finance& Accounts to lead the company finance and accounts function with high standards of accuracy, discipline, and accountability. This role will be responsible for establishing strong financial systems, ensuring compliance excellence, strengthening internal controls, and building a culture of rigor, ownership, and sharp execution across the finance team.

The Senior Manager will serve as the functional leader for all finance, accounting, treasury, compliance, reporting, and finance-process activities. The role requires a professional who can combine strategic financial thinking with strong operating discipline and the ability to build robust systems that support the company long-term growth.

  • Financial Control and Accounting
  • Lead the end-to-end accounting function, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash controls.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing, including preparation and review of the Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss Statement, and Cash Flow Statement.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of the fixed asset register, depreciation schedules, and inventory valuation in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Own and manage the company statutory compliance calendar, covering GST, TDS/TCS, income tax, PF, ESI, professional tax, ROC/MCA, and FEMA/RBI requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filings, payments, reconciliations, and documentation, with zero tolerance for missed deadlines or compliance lapses.
  • Establish strong review mechanisms, compliance trackers, and periodic checklists to maintain discipline and visibility across all statutory obligations.
  • Lead cash flow planning and forecasting on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to ensure financial stability and effective liquidity management.
  • Manage banking relationships, fixed deposits, credit facilities, and treasury operations in a prudent and structured manner.
  • Strengthen working capital discipline through proactive monitoring of receivables, payables, and cash deployment.
  • Lead the company annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles in coordination with functional leaders.
  • Build and maintain management information systems and financial reporting packs that enable timely review of performance, cost control, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop robust financial models and variance analyses to support business planning and resource allocation.
  • Lead preparation for statutory and internal audits, ensuring documentation readiness and timely closure of observations.
  • Design, implement, and strengthen internal financial controls and governance mechanisms across finance processes.
  • Support the finance requirements of quality and process frameworks, including documentation, control discipline, and review systems.
  • Develop, document, and institutionalize standard operating procedures for all major finance and accounts processes.
  • Drive structured approval workflows, process compliance, and role clarity across finance operations.
  • Identify and implement process improvement and automation opportunities to improve accuracy, transparency, and speed of execution.
  • Build and lead a high-quality finance team with clear responsibilities, measurable goals, and strong professional standards.
  • Foster a culture of discipline, ownership, responsiveness, integrity, and continuous improvement within the finance function.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, coach team members, and create an environment that values sharp thinking, accountability, and dependable execution.
  • Provide financial insights to support key decisions related to growth, investments, pricing, cost structures, and operational planning.
  • Support fundraising, lender interactions, due diligence processes, and financial documentation as required.
  • Coordinate effectively with auditors, consultants, bankers, legal advisors, and compliance partners in the best interests of the company.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) / Semi Qualified CA.
  • 10 - 12+ years of post-qualification experience in finance, accounting, and compliance.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a startup, early-stage company, or MSME environment with broad ownership of the finance function.
  • Strong hands-on experience across accounting finalization, compliance management, budgeting, cash flow planning, audit readiness, and MIS reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish systems, build processes, and bring structure and control into a growing organization.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain finance, inventory accounting, working capital management, and finance operations in a manufacturing or product-based environment.
  • Experience supporting debt financing, banking processes, and financial diligence exercises will be an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, advanced materials, deep-tech, R&D-led, or industrial businesses.
  • Exposure to government grant financial management, FEMA compliance, and international transactions.

Experience in building finance teams and setting up finance processes in a scaling business environment.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidate with relevant experience in Chemicals / Pharma / Manufacturing Start-ups

Note : Startup Manufactruing Expereince is Mandatory in Current / Previous

Need to Handle an IC role with 2 No's only .
