This is a full time role with our reputed client in Mumbai.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Finalization of Books of Accounts
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of accounts as per Indian
Accounting Standards (Ind AS) / applicable GAAP.
• Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors for audit completion and address
audit queries.
• Oversee general ledger reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial
statements.
• Monitor and review journal entries, provisions, and adjustments.
2. Taxation (Direct & Indirect)
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST, TDS, Income Tax returns, and other
statutory returns.
• Liaise with tax consultants for tax planning, assessments, and litigations.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable direct and indirect tax laws.
• Handle GST audits, assessments, and resolve notices from tax authorities.
3. MIS & Financial Reporting
• Prepare monthly MIS reports including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Variance
Analysis, and Financial Ratios.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
• Provide analytical insights and reports to management for decision-making.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and financial KPIs.
4. Internal Controls & Process Improvements
• Establish and monitor strong internal controls and SOPs.
• Identify areas for cost optimization, process automation, and system
improvements.
• Implement ERP system controls and ensure data integrity.
5. Team Leadership & Coordination
• Lead and mentor the finance team; ensure ongoing training and development.
• Collaborate with other departments (HR, Legal, Operations) for cross-functional
finance needs.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders such as auditors, consultants, and tax
authorities.
