We are seeking a talented individual to join our Risk Consulting team at Marsh. This role will be based in Mumbai. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
The Risk Consulting practice of IKS for the IMEA region is looking to recruit a Senior Manager experienced in delivering Enterprise Risk Management. The strategic risk services, has a particular emphasis on Enterprise Risk Management offerings.
The purpose of the role is helping to deliver projects and through the building and maintenance of effective client relationships aid the development of business. There range of duties are varied and whilst key responsibilities are expressed here, they include the flexible execution of additional consulting, analytical and operational tasks as reasonably expected from time to time, i.e. assist in business development from writing proposals, delivering presentations to the sale of new engagements
We will count on you to:
Client Service - ERM:
- Candidate should understand the fundamental of Enterprise Risk Management/ operational risk management.
- Knowledge of Operational Resilience, Third Party Management, integrated testing programs (e.g., technology, business, vendor resilience testing) including the alignment of critical business services to technology assets and vendors, or resilience risk and reporting / scorecards.
- Draft assessment reports including findings, associated risks, and recommendations related to Enterprise Resilience.
- Develop Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), articulation of risk statements, defining thresholds, tolerances, Key Performance Indicators KPIs and creating dashboards (in MS Excel, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) for continuous monitoring of Enterprise Resilience risks.
- Understanding of general insurance regulatory landscape.
- Preferred experience and understanding of COSO ERM framework and/or ISO 31000.
- Candidate should demonstrate understanding of Operational Risk Management.
- Experience in risk identification, assessment, and measurement and conducting RCSAs.
- Involvement in root cause identification.
- Experience in internal audit and/or internal controls assessment and End to End risk management framework.
- Have they worked upon or has an experience in developing / drafting business documents such as SOW, policies, SOPs, BRDs, Gap reports.
- Support the practice in building the ERM solution operating model and enablers.
Communication
- Develops and effectively delivers complex written and oral communications, such as value propositions, proposals, technical concepts and deliverables
- Creates templates or other written materials to be utilized by other consulting colleagues
Business Acumen
- Articulates internal and external business goals and overall strategies needed to attain these goals
- Should be able to bring consulting approach and strategic mindset to solving business problems.
- Manage multiple assignments and related project teams.
- Mentor and coach junior team members, enabling them to meet their performance goals.
Client Management
- Directs, performs, or reviews research (e.g. reviews annual reports/ financial data, undertakes benchmarking, etc.) for business development purposes.
- Understand the client's business & related industry issues / trends.
- Develop strong working relationships with the client and onshore client teams.
- Maintain excellent rapport and proactive communication with the client.
Competencies
Knowledge in implementing, managing, and auditing an ISO-31000 ERM
- COSO, ISO31000 Lead Implementer or Lead auditor certification considered a plus.
- Appreciation and knowledge of resilience, communication backup etc.
- Understanding of various aspects of technology resilience – design and process aspects.
- Understanding of ERM related tools and software's.
- Experience in PowerBI or other analytical tools will be an added advantage.

What you need to have:
- Relevant risk management qualification and Bachelor's degree (ideally Master's), and relevant fields
- Overall, 8 to 10 years of experience out of which 7+ years should be relevant experience
- Relevant ISO, COSO and/or DRI Certifications preferred
- Excellent communication skills – verbal, writing, listening
- Advanced level of proficiency in MS Office, with strong skills in PowerPoint, Word, Excel (including Macros, VBA), Access and SharePoint
What makes you stand out
- Business Resilience experience from another major consulting firm is desired with strong domain knowledge and experience in Enterprise Risk management.
- Ideally with secondary domain knowledge/experience in Business Continuity, Cyber/Information Security.
- Strong academic rigour.
- Familiarity with core statistical concepts e.g., correlation, regressions, significance values, etc.
- Knowhow of programming languages like Python or R and BI tools like Tableau will be a plus.
- Ability to take initiatives to strive for improvement in analytical techniques, processes and outputs
